MdynamiX cooperates with Auto Motor und Sport for car comparison tests!
Benningen, 27.10.2024 – Who doesn’t know it? Auto Motor und Sport – probably one of the most widely read German automotive magazines. Whether it’s about interest in the latest technologies in the automotive industry or support in the decision to buy a vehicle, ams tests current vehicles down to the smallest detail for its readers. In this case, MdynamiX and the Institute for Driver Assistance and Connected Mobility (IFM) were allowed to participate.
Working together for the perfect car test
In an exciting collaboration, MdynamiX and IFM supported the four-person team from Auto Motor und Sport in their latest vehicle comparison project. Over the course of four extremely productive days, we scrutinised four vehicles together: the Volvo EX30, the Mercedes E-Class, the Nio ET5 and the Tesla Model Y Performance. Three of these vehicles are electric cars, one of them a petrol car.
The focus is on a holistic vehicle assessment
Our ADAS team worked closely with the specialised journalists and testers from Auto Motor und Sport to ensure that the comparison was thorough and insightful. Using our scientifically developed methods, we equipped the vehicles with high-quality measurement technology to capture precise data for objective evaluation and later analysis with our MXeval software.
The four test drivers collected data on selected routes and at the same time documented their experiences with the systems. Using the MXevalApp, they carried out the subjective evaluation process and collected individual ratings for each system. This dual approach gave us a holistic view of each vehicle’s performance, with the user experience always at the forefront.
Our aim was to analyse the latest driver assistance systems – from Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) to Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) – in depth and compare them from the user’s perspective. This is exactly what the readers of Auto Motor und Sport want to know!
Humans take centre stage
Ultimately, we are all pursuing the same goal: to put the user – or reader, in the case of Auto Motor und Sport – at the centre of our work. This common objective will keep us busy for a long time to come and forms the basis for our co-operation. With this in mind, we hope that this successful collaboration will continue.
A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of this co-operation!
