MdynamiX on Tour – We’ll see you!

Munich / Benningen. 2022 year was characterized by numerous activities, events and personal meetings. MdynamiX was present at the VDI conference: Tires – Chassis – Roadway – in Aachen, the chassis.tech plus in Munich as well as the Explore-to-Innovate in Benningen. Personal contacts are irreplaceable. We saw this clearly at chassis.Xperience, our driving event, in the great interest and enthusiasm of the participants.

Last year we started with the VDI conference. Being there felt unusual at first, because we were able to meet again live and in person. MdynamiX, AB Dynamics and Kempten University of Applied Sciences presented their paper “Use of Driving Simulators in Chassis Development – Applications and Potentials.” in Aachen at the “Tire – Roadway – Chassis” with special excitement. The shown results mainly come from different projects, in particular from a large research project METAVI that MdynamiX has conducted with Audi AG, Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG, Continental, AB Dynamics and Kempten University of Applied Sciences since 2021. “Comfort experience in automated driving – how good do suspensions have to be?” was the title of the second topic presented by authors from Kempten University of Applied Sciences and MdynamiX. It was based on the findings of the recently completed extensive test person study both in the driving test and on the driving simulator.

In July, the Bayerischer Hof opened its doors for the Munich chassis conference – the chassis.tech plus. Two exciting days at the 13th International Symposium with inspiring presentations and an extensive accompanying trade exhibition. The best opportunity to present the MXsteerHiL at our booth and invite visitors to experience the authentic steering feel at the static driving simulator. The MXeval and MXevalApp evaluation tools from the MX product range were also demonstrated. In this context, the presentation on automated driving and development methods entitled “Characteristics-based property development of lane departure warning systems” was particularly exciting for us, a project in cooperation with Audi AG and the Institute for Driver Assistance and Connected Mobility at Kempten University of Applied Sciences in Benningen.

MdynamiX was not only on site as an exhibitor, but also hosted the satellite event to the Munich conference immediately before – the chassis.Xperience. We had the pleasure to welcome numerous familiar and new faces at the 3rd edition of the free driving event. An eventful day where the variety of development methodology could be experienced.

The series of last year’s events continues with another highlight in July: Explore-to-Innovate organized and hosted by and at the IFM in Benningen. The new two-day forum, which combines expert presentations, technology exhibition and live demos in the lab and on test tracks, welcomed over 350 guests. The MdynamiX partner institute has already been active since the end of 2020. Due to the pandemic, the official opening, which had been postponed for a long time, was now made up for in this festive setting. Participants were excited to get in touch with each other and talk about our MXsteerHiL and the integration and evaluation of steering feel in simulation.

In the last quarter of the year MdynamiX was represented by our CEO Prof. Dr. Peter Pfeffer at the stock exchange talk of the Baseler Kantonalbank and could be heard in the BKB Finanzcast. Peter Pfeffer, Professor of Automotive Engineering at Munich University of Applied Sciences, shared his views on the mobility forms of the future and the challenges of digitalization in the automotive industry.

An eventful year has come to an end and it is already becoming apparent that things will continue with new ideas in 2023. In addition to the VDI conference, chassis.Xperience, chassis.tech plus and Explore-to-Innovate in their second edition, we are planning another event for our international partners at our new location – the Shelter 16 – in Benningen.

In 2023, we are again in the starting blocks for our customer contact at trade shows and conferences. In addition, we are looking forward to visits on the international stage. This year, we will present our demo systems at the respective “trade fairs”, during visits in-house or also directly to interested parties in cooperation with our partners ATS in India, Polelink in China and Konrad Technologies in the USA.

We are excited! We look forward to seeing you again!
