Explore-to-Innovate 2024: IFM focuses on knowledge exchange and innovation

Benningen, July 1, 2024 – The Institute for Driver Assistance and Connected Mobility (IFM) hosted the successful “Explore-to-Innovate” forum for the third time on June 19 and 20. In cooperation with MdynamiX, a technology partner, the two-day conference provided a platform for exchanging the latest findings and technologies in the field of mobility.

Bringing knowledge exchange and technology to life

Explore-to-Innovate is an innovative format that makes research and technology tangible. IFM Director and MdynamiX CEO Prof. Bernhard Schick emphasizes: “Our aim is to create a community in which current developments can be discussed.” The forum combined specialist lectures, technology exhibitions and live demonstrations both in the laboratory and on test tracks.

Successful technology transfer

The first day started with the “Science Talk”, where experts presented their latest research findings. Topics such as “Driving simulators in the context of user-centered development” and “Machine learning for autonomous vehicles” were the focus and generated lively discussions.

The “Evening Rollout” followed in the afternoon with keynotes and panel discussions. Martin Peller (BMW Group), Dr. Benedikt Strasser (AUDI AG) and Marc Hausmann (Continental AG) provided insights into the future of driver assistance systems and autonomous mobility.

The second day, which focused on the “Track Day”, allowed participants to test innovative technologies at first hand. Live demos in the exhibition tent, on test tracks and in the laboratory demonstrated the practical application of the latest developments.

The “Explore-to-Innovate 2024” conference underlines the importance of technology transfer for society. The event offers numerous opportunities for personal contacts and exchanges within the industry. “Explore-to-Innovate” is set to take place again in 2025.
