The electric powertrain represents one of the greatest challenges for the automotive industry. The multitude of new components such as HV batteries, inverters, power electronics, electrical machines and their functional and geometric vehicle integration require specialised knowledge of their interrelationships. The high complexity of the electric powertrain, combined with the enormous time pressure in production and development, demand correspondingly in-depth knowledge and the necessary specialised skills from all those involved.

Our training programme looks at the properties of the new vehicle components, their control aspects as well as their integration into an overall vehicle development. Not only electrical, but also mechanical, thermal and aspects of functional integration are taught. The spectrum of content allows for discussion skills in this subject area. This broad basis exploits potentials in the individual components as well as in the overall electric powertrain system.
