MdynamiX begins integration of VehicleSim software into MX test benches, expanding simulation capabilities across vehicle types

Benningen, 12.06.2025 – MdynamiX, Germany-based specialist in real-time Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) solutions, has established a new collaboration with VehicleSim by Applied Intuition, a US-based, global leader in vehicle dynamics simulation software. The partnership aims to integrate VehicleSim’s renowned tools – CarSim, TruckSim, and BikeSim – into the MdynamiX series of test systems. This early-stage cooperation was sparked by the need to support motorcycle development through BikeSim, but the broader goal is to enhance the overall simulation capabilities of MdynamiX’s HiL platforms across all vehicle types.

MX Test Systems Gain Direct Interface to VehicleSim for Scalable, Flexible Development

The integration will allow MX test systems such as MXsteerHiL and MXbrakeHiL to interface directly with VehicleSim’s high-fidelity vehicle dynamics simulation, enabling more flexible and scalable development workflows. The recent establishment of MdynamiX Indian Centre in Pune, India, provided the initial context for this initiative, supporting regional testing needs. The strategic development and global rollout of the integration will be led from MdynamiX’s headquarters in Germany, with plans to extend the solution to the US and other international markets.

MdynamiX and VehicleSim Partner to Expand HiL Simulation Across Diverse Mobility Applications

By combining VehicleSim’s widely adopted vehicle simulation models with MdynamiX’s modular HiL platforms, the partnership aims to ensure that steering and braking controls and performance are well understood before committing to direction setting vehicle chassis decisions—from passenger cars to motorcycles and commercial vehicles.

Prof. Peter Pfeffer, CEO of MdynamiX, commented on the new partnership:

“We are committed to working with a broad range of simulation partners to ensure our solutions are adaptable, open, and aligned with the diverse needs of our customers worldwide. Integrating VehicleSim’s tools into our MX test benches is an important step in expanding our simulation capabilities – especially as we explore new application areas like motorcycles and commercial vehicles.”

Jeremy Miller, Head of VehicleSim, commented on the new partnership:

“Applied and MdynamiX are excited to announce a commercial and technical partnership. This collaboration will enable Applied to expand further into vehicle performance simulation, a highly technical, demanding, and critical sector within the modern automotive industry.”
