Experience autonomous driving live: MdynamiX supports young talent at the VDI Autonomous Driving Challenge at ELIV
When students bring autonomous vehicles to life with passion, creativity, and technical know-how, pure innovation emerges – and that is exactly what makes the VDI Autonomous Driving Challenge (ADC) so special. This year, MdynamiX again plays a central role as a sponsor and organizational partner.
On October 15–16, 2025, the challenge will take place for the first time as part of ELIV (Electronics In Vehicles) in Bonn – a renowned event organized by the VDI Wissensforum, bringing together experts from industry and research.
The ADC promotes the exchange of young engineers to develop practical solutions for autonomous driving
The Autonomous Driving Challenge is more than just a competition – it is a meeting point for tech-enthusiastic young engineers who tackle real-world challenges of automated driving with their 1:8 model cars. This combination of theory, practice, and passion also reflects MdynamiX’s commitment.
“We support the Challenge because it enables young talent to apply what they’ve learned in practice and turn their own ideas into functioning systems,” says Dr. Markus Krug, CEO of MdynamiX. “It’s inspiring to see the energy with which the teams approach the tasks – and the potential in the next generation.”
With experience, technical expertise, and hands-on support, MdynamiX accompanies the VDI ADC
This year again, MdynamiX brings its experience and expertise to support the ADC. The company contributes organizational know-how, technical advice, and practical assistance, including guidance for teams and the jury, provision of equipment and concepts, and support during the execution of each discipline.
“Our goal is to provide participants with an inspiring platform where they can test and further develop their ideas and concepts,” explains Kristina Wolf, Project Manager for the ADC at MdynamiX. “Above all, it’s about promoting learning, teamwork, and enthusiasm for technology.”
Premiere at ELIV – The International VDI Congress
For the first time, the VDI ADC will take place as part of ELIV – International VDI Congress, organized by the VDI Wissensforum. The Wissensforum positions itself as a provider of continuing education for engineers and technical professionals. Beyond technological trends and practical training, a core focus is supporting young talent.
“By integrating the ADC into ELIV, we create a unique platform where students, industry, and research come into direct contact. This fits perfectly with our philosophy of sharing knowledge and driving innovation together,” says Kristina Wolf.
The inclusion in ELIV allows the teams to present their work to a high-profile professional audience and to build valuable contacts – an opportunity that can mark the start of a successful engineering career for many.
Supporting Young Talent and Innovation in Autonomous Driving
Through the VDI Autonomous Driving Challenge, MdynamiX sends a strong signal for fostering technical talent and advancing autonomous driving. In the future, the company plans to continue connecting innovation and young talent development together with VDI and industry partners.
“We look forward to exciting competitions, creative solutions, and inspiring encounters – and to providing students with a platform to showcase their full potential,” says Kristina Wolf.
