TRAIN FOR SUCCESS

A TRAINING COURSE IN THE FIELD OF ELECTRIC POWERTRAIN

Compact course electric powertrain

The compact course on electric drivetrains is the central training module in the field of electric drivetrains and one of the foundations of electromobility. The course provides knowledge about the various components of an electric powertrain such as the motor, transmission, power electronics and battery. It also covers important topics such as energy management and charging technology.

You will gain a basic understanding of how an electric drivetrain works. This training enables you to specialize in the development and sale of e-vehicles.

You will learn about the operating principle and characteristics of different types of electric machines, including asynchronous, synchronous and reluctance machines. We cover the design of an electric powertrain and explain how to select and size the components of a drivetrain to achieve optimum performance. Another important aspect is the characteristics of the HV traction battery and power electronics. You will learn how these components influence the performance and efficiency of an electric vehicle. This is followed by an introduction to the field-oriented control of an electric drive. After completing the training, you will know how to regulate the motor current to control the torque and speed of the motor. Finally, we cover driving resistance cycles and range determination. You will learn how to estimate the energy consumption of a vehicle and determine its range.

The benefits of the compact course on electric powertrains are varied and easy to understand, and will familiarize you with the latest trends in electric mobility.
